Convention & Exhibition Center

On Dec 28, 2002, Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center was officially put into operation. Stage-Ⅰ engineering of the Center covers an area of 414,000 square meters with gross area of 395,000 square meters. There are 13 exhibition halls at the two floors with exhibition area of about 130,000 square meters and outer exhibition area of 22,000 square meters. Now it is the largest convention & exhibition center in Asia. In March of 2004, it became official exhibition venue for the Canton Fair, “No. 1 Exhibition in China”. Stage-Ⅱ engineering will be put into operation in 2008 with total construction area of 300,000 square meters. Then stage-Ⅲ engineering will mainly execute constructions of such supporting facilities as offices, hotels and high-class apartments. After that total area of the Center will be added up to 1,000,000 square meters.

Besides the Canton Fair twice a year, Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center also undertakes many large-scaled exhibition conferences from home and abroad. In 2006, there are more than 40 large-scaled exhibitions and conferences in this center, which provides first-class platform to domestic & international trade.

Sports and Gymnastic Park

Located in Pazhou Island in Haizhu District, west of Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center, east of South China Express, between east Xingang Road and the Pearl River, Sports and Gymnastic Park is programmed into south part and north part with total area of 18 hectares. This park is not only the best place for daily exercises, but also for sports & cultural activities and relaxation. All necessary facilities are well equipped for open-air public activities. It is among the five largest greenbelts in Pazhou convention & exhibition area with 84% of green coverage ratio.

Pazhou Tower Park

Pazhou Tower Park is located in east of Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center in Pazhou Island. It covers an area of about 21 hectares on the east of Keyun Road, between East Xingang Road and the Pearl River. To the south is historical cultural travel and protective zone oriented in Pazhou Tower with sceneries of ancient architecture complex of Northern Emperor Temple and Hai’ao Temple relics. To the north is recreation area oriented in Nabo Lake with series of music sceneries of Pale Square. Water winds through the whole park from south to north with two different colorful sceneries in spring and autumn.

River View Park

Located on the north of Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center in Pazhou Island, the River View Park is made up of water and green islands between East Binjiang Road and the Pearl River. It covers an area of 82,465 square meters. Core of the park is ribbon wide water area, which is nearly 40,000 square meters with depth of 30 cm. People can play or walk in the water. There float 9 oval green islands with palmaceous plants. There stands winding-in-water bridge between the green islands. You can also get to see small square, 6-meter-wide path from the Center, 6-meter-wide water walking way through the park, Binjiang square, dock square and tourist dock once you set foot on this park from the connecting bridge with the Center.
